The search engine is now asking readers to use their smartphone to check their favourite Indian books.
It is the first time such a feature has been made available in the search results page of the popular news and entertainment website.
According to the query, readers can now search for a book in Hindi and search the top 10 most popular Hindi-language books by genre.
The query also suggests how many times readers have accessed the title in Hindi.
The search feature was first introduced last month in India’s largest English-language newspaper The Hindu.
The search feature is not available in India-focused publications such as the Indian Express or The Times of India, where readers will be prompted to use a mobile device.
The query was first rolled out on August 15 and will be available on Google search for the first week of September.
The feature is meant to make it easier for readers to find books, and also to encourage them to look up content on social media.
The Indian Express and Times of Indian have not yet published a query to find the best books in Hindi, a country with over 2.3 billion people.
