(AP) — When a Genealogy Search Engine returns a link, you know it’s worth checking out.
The genealogy site is searching for information about a family’s ancestors, and a few minutes later, the results pop up.
The result is an online database of family history.
The website uses an algorithm that uses the geographic location of the person’s home to identify the family’s history, and then the name of the ancestor.
Genealogy websites like Ancestry.com, AncestryDNA.com and AncestryLink.com have been around for years, but now the technology is starting to get noticed in a big way.
A few weeks ago, GenealogyLink.org, a genealogical search engine owned by a Florida company called GenealogyQuest, received the blessing of the U.S. Library of Congress for the launch of its own genealogy service, the Genealogy Link.
The site, which has been in development for more than two years, has a user base of more than 50,000 people and is currently in beta testing.
“We’re hoping to have an open, free service, which we believe will be able to provide the widest possible access to family history and history information,” said Genoa County Commissioner Robert Bittner, a Democrat who helped establish the company.
Bittners son, Matt, founded the company and was instrumental in getting the site’s code to open for testing.
The company has been a leader in the genealogy industry since its creation in 2006, but it didn’t come together overnight.
In the early days, the company was trying to find an open-source database of information on genealogy, and its initial efforts focused on the United States.
Genoa county had been trying to get access to the state’s public records, but the county couldn’t find anything.
Bets were placed on whether anyone would be willing to help the county create its own database, and Matt Bittns family agreed to help.
In 2008, Matt Bittermann bought the company from its current owner, Genoa-based search engine company Genealogy Quest, and Bittney was named president in 2011.
GenoQuest launched Genealogylink.com in December of 2013.
The first thing it did was create a public domain database of genealogy information.
Bitterner said that when he started thinking about the company’s mission, he realized he wanted to help with the genealogies and family history field in a broader way.
Genogroup.com is a search engine that can identify the families of anyone with a particular genealogy query, and when a search finds the right match, the site shows an interactive map showing the family members’ names, dates of birth and other information.
“I’ve had a lot of people come up to me and say, ‘I want to build a family history website for my family, but I have no idea what I’m going to do with it,'” Bittsner said.
The idea of a geneology search engine has taken off, with several other genealogy sites offering similar services.
Google searches for “family history” have grown by 300 percent since 2013.
Google has a dedicated genealogy database that has more than a million descendants and hundreds of thousands of descendants.
Ancestry, the leading genealogy website, has nearly a million genealogists and millions of families searching for family histories online.
But in order to get a big enough user base, GenealogQuest needed to find a way to build its own technology that would allow it to operate in the same way as other genealogist websites.
“The reality is we were going to build our own technology, and I think the community came to the realization that this was something we needed to do,” Bittanson said.
That’s where the Genoquest team came in.
Bittingner said the team began by building a prototype that he and Bitterman designed.
Bitner said they built the prototype using a modified version of Google Maps.
The Geno Quest team then built the search engine in a custom engine using a tool called WebFamilies.
The search engine is designed to work with the Google Maps API, which allows people to add their own custom search features.
“It’s very simple to add your own search feature and then it will tell you what you need to know, what you don’t need to have your own feature, and what you do need to be aware of,” Bitteranson said of the Google API.
Bitingner said his team built a tool that would let people add search terms like “family members of a particular ancestry,” and he said that this way the search feature would always be able find the correct match.
“There’s a lot more than one way to find information,” Bittingn said.
“If you have more than 1,000 names, you can’t just find the
